Leaving Lisbon Sintra is located just a short drive away for Lisbon but yet it somehow managed to maintain its royal aspect of the past when kings and queens of Portugal found Sintra their eden on earth. The historical centre is filled with old villas, chalets, manor houses and little handicraft shops that will make your mind travel back in time to the period when carriages would rattle up those cobbled narrow streets. After a stroll in the old city it's time to go up to the top of the mountain to visit the glorious Pena Palace in an exhibition of 19th century taste for extravagant but yet thoughtful architectural combinations.
Leaving the Pena Palace behind its time to drive to the charming town centre of Cascais where the fishing tradition of the past still subsists and, where we will go for a walk or just a cup of coffee in one of the small cafes. From here we will continue along the coast and the beautiful beaches of Estoril, passing by the eternal Casino Estoril and its beautiful gardens, having the Atlantic Ocean as your company until we reach Lisbon.
